INFO
I have been a GM for only a short time, but luckily I pick things up rather fast, as you will see in the history of our group.
History: (it starts in April '99)
A normal day, I'm hanging behind the comp when I suddenly get a call (as it usually goes), I run down and pick it up. "Yo, Appie I've bought this game! It's cool! Come over, then we'll play!", my friend said. So I got dressed went out the door and went all the way to him, after 10 minutes I entered his home. The first thing I saw was terrible, my friends were there too, three of 'em and the one that called! After they 'resuscitated me from my cardiac arrest, the 'GM', the one who bought the game, began explaining. After that we all got a turn at the book to choose Race and Discipline. Anyway, I ended up as an Obsidiman Nethermancer, with a Troll Cavalryman, a Dwarven Weaponsmith with a blue beard, a T'skrang Wizard and an Elven Thief. As we started adventuring a bit we got to many issues and none of us had the proper knowledge of the book. I got the book once and read as much as possible, that's where my advantage was a great advantage, I learned a lot and after some time I bought my own core book. Then I ordered Companion, I started looking on the internet, on ICQ I met the man who has taught me the most stuff, Madrin (I'm still very thankful for that =0)) But then everything escalated, as I knew more than the GM-by-then, I started GM-ing and in my hunt for power I bought several more books, but still not enough (it's what I have now...)
Nowadays:
Now I have 5 players and myself and a campaign, several books and the limits are only those of my imagination (scary!). Anyway I won't be putting up much info on the campaign as of now, else my players might peek. If you want any info just tell me...
We started at higher levels, and now the core-characters are 12/7 in Circles, some of the other have gotten new characters and some never came again.... We have done many (heroic) deeds and even killed Chantrel's Horror.... or so it seems, as we know, nothing is as it seems.
